The Role:

• Key technical member in delivery and software design of our cross-platform React Native mobile application for patients
• Mentor mobile engineers (1:1 and as a team) through standards/examples on:
• React/React Native development best practices
• iOS/Android native development best practices
• Building and deploying mobile applications & services in a cloud-infrastructure environment
• Work with a global team of engineers that are designing, building, and maintaining large-scale mobile applications focused on the patient experience
• Transform mobile app development and processes by:
• Introducing new technologies, processes, or techniques to work more efficiently
• Identifying use-cases to create well-architected, reusable, and modular solutions
• Writing clear, modular, well-documented, and testable code
• Creating automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies
• Fostering a security-first mindset for the team
• Contributing to a highly-communicative & collaborative culture
• Consistently helping their teams overcome obstacles and proactively resolving blockers
• Build beautiful experiences using progressive technologies and patterns
• Demonstrate a mix of intelligence, integrity, domain knowledge, verbal agility, and diplomacy which allows you to rapidly earn the trust of engineers and product management leaders
• Support what is built, including monitoring, performance tuning, and responding to incidents
• Find opportunities to accelerate the roadmap and design systems that anticipate future use cases
• Contribute to the delivery of OKRs, work with the product team to define KPIs and meet SLAs

Skills you’ll bring:

• Experience being the most senior engineer across a few scrum teams in delivering a cross-platform mobile apps in a fast-paced environment
• Deep knowledge in the React ecosystem in advanced topics
• Experience in either iOS or Android development in:
• Native development for a specific platform (building in Swift/Obj-C/Kotlin)
• Bridging native code to React Native
• Designing simple & scalable modular architecture while meeting expected timelines
• An eye for identifying, fixing, and preventing issues
• Collaborative skills to work and communicate within their team and across other teams  in order to drive alignment and effectiveness of delivery
• Mentoring engineers with varying skill levels and experiences 
• Best in class testing practices to improve the quality of our mobile application by ensuring complete test automation across the testing pyramid
