The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for the development, customization, testing, and support of the underlying platform used by our software suite, as well as contribution to technical designs. In addition, you will develop and test software with a focus on software-defined infrastructure, creating automated processes for the software manufacturing lifecycle, which may be CI/CD pipelines or sub-components for build and deployment, depending on the platform technology in use.

ChenMed Platform Engineers will focus on underpinning or enabling technology platforms with a lens on volume, capacity, performance, stability, integrity, and high availability. For this role, you will be expected to develop the necessary platform capability on a next-generation platform.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help build the next-generation infrastructure using Kubernetes on EKS.
• Develop dynamic infrastructure that will scale on our Cloud Platform.
• Mentor others on the team, helping them to succeed and grow.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Engineering Mindset: Ability to work on entirely different domain knowledge from one project to another, prototype quickly, iterate, rinse, and repeat.
• Automation: Mindset of attempting to automate oneself out of a job even though it's impossible.
• Infrastructure as Code: Leverage declarative languages such as terraform, helm, cloud formation, and others.
• Containerization: Experience installing, configuring, and managing Kubernetes in a production environment.
• Cloud: Experience in cloud infrastructure and architecture (AWS)
• Resiliency: DevOps and SRE mindsets focus on scalable, reliable, resilient applications and infrastructure.
• Identify areas of opportunity for continued automation and provide roadmaps for continuous improvement, focusing on fully automating (script or otherwise) our environments.
• Serve as a source of technical expertise to an agile team and as a mentor for junior staff members.
• Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, troubleshooting, processes, and standards.
• Proactively identifying and resolving critical technical issues.
