Senior Power BI Architect

Responsibilities:

• Deliver enterprise-level reporting and data governance solutions.
• Design and support robust and scalable reporting data models and schemas.
• Create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Develop sophisticated data transformations using Power Query and DAX functions.
• Optimize report performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Establish best practices and guidelines for data visualization and report development.
• Mentor and train junior Power BI developers as needed.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience designing and implementing business intelligence solutions.
• Proven work experience as a Power BI developer & Architect In-depth understanding of the Power BI environment (e.g., permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience implementing visualization dashboards, Business Intelligence Reports, and Email Reports.
• Strong experience with Power Query and DAX functions.
• Exposure to Snowflake and other cloud-based database platforms is a big plus.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL for generating and extracting data for use in analytics and reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of Data Warehousing & Data Modeling best practices.
• Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an agile team, meet deadlines, and demonstrate good time management and multi-tasking in a fast-paced project environment.
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, such as SSRS, SSIS, TSQL, and Report Manager.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior team members.
• Financial domain knowledge is preferred but not required.

The base salary range for this position is between $132,696.90 to $176,929.20, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
