Role overview
The Senior Pricing Analyst role will have opportunities for outsized positive impact by enabling data-driven decision-making in how we price, package, discount and monetize our products to drive growth.
We are looking for thoughtful, fearlessly curious candidates who can dive into complex data, draw insightful conclusions and build impactful models. As a member of a growing team, you will have opportunities for positive impact through a high level of autonomy. You will be comfortable conducting analysis of complex topics, bringing structure to open ended questions, and clearly and concisely communicating recommendations to partners across the organization. Most importantly, you are someone who is excited to challenge the status quo and push the boundaries of what's possible.
What you'll do
- Conduct exploratory data analysis across disparate data sources (e.g. sales data, dealer behavior patterns and website usage) to understand the performance of our pricing strategy and find opportunities for optimization.
- Communicate and present data analyses, visualizations, and insights to key stakeholders.
- Drive thorough quantitative analyses using internal and external data to support pricing, packaging, segmentation, and discounting recommendations.
- Conduct expert interviews, designing and implementing surveys, and conduct competitive research using a wide array 3rd party sources.
- Design robust pricing models for new and existing products, and the structures to adapt them over time. Design and execute tests to see what works and iterate quickly.
- Partner with the sales, marketing, finance, product, and engineering departments to help translate recommendations into actions that help grow the business.
What you'll bring
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis (prior experience in pricing/revenue optimization, strategy consulting, or B2B sales a plus.
- Fluency in SQL required and experience with a scripting language (esp Python) strongly preferred.
- Able to bring structure to open ended questions, and provide analytical answers to complex decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills: able to communicate recommendations to partners across the organization clearly and concisely.
- Comfortable working with new datasets and collaborating with analysts and data engineers to ensure reliability of your analysis.
- Track record of getting up to speed on new analytical tools (prior experience with Looker, git, Salesforce.)
