Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is looking for a SeniorPrincipalSoftware Engineerfor Raytheon'sEED(EOSDIS Evolution and Development) team out of Riverdale, Maryland.

Full time telecommuting and/or remote is available for this position.

In this role, you will work with an amazing team of engineers, on the EED-3 program that supports NASA in its mission toprovide scientists and other users access to data from NASA's Earth science missions.More specifically, you will be working with the NGAP team, which has developed and is maintaining a cloud-based development platform to host all EOSDIS cloud applications.

What You'll Get to Do:

As a Senior Principal Software Engineeronthe Raytheon Technologies EED-3team, you will ensure adherence to operational agreements and polices (including response times), compliance to program and NASA standards and requirements (including Section 508 compliance), leveraging of industry best practices for automation and scalability of assets, and implementation of issue detection and alerts.

Requirements:

• 10+ years related experience
• Recent experience with in-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience supporting Cloud based infrastructure and operations automating processes, build software tools, and create infrastructure-as-code solutions in a Cloud based DevOps environment.
• Experience with developing data-driven automation solutions leveraging observability tools (ElasticSearch or Splunk preferred)
• Recent programming / scripting experience in any of C++, BASH, Python, Java and Java script (within an Agile development environment preferred)

Education: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 8years of prior relevant experience or an advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience

It Would Be Great if You Also Had One or More of the following:

• Familiar with core suite of AWS services related to DevOps, withparticular depthin those that are heavily used when providing DevOps automation solutions, including the Management and Deployment services such as Terraform and IAM
• Experience with the UNIX OS
• Experience with full life cycle Software design and development experience on large/complex n-tier Cloud based applications
• Experience implementing cloud security solutions using DevSecOps processes
• Experience optimizing cost for cloud hosted applications and services

The salary range for this role is $107,000.00 to $225,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
