About the Role:
The Sr. Product Manager, Insurance Roadside will lead and execute complex roadside integration and vehicle marketplace product initiatives. The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for identifying new product opportunities and perform the appropriate in-market discovery to vet each opportunity. He, she or they will deliver high quality roadside integration and vehicle marketplace product initiatives on time and within budget, meeting defined goals for the roadside integration and vehicle marketplace products.Â
Key Outcomes:
- Drive the Agent Enablement tools into the market
- Build out a vision and roadmap for Vehicle Maintenance
- Establish an idea to implementation framework for external product management at Agero
- Help grow the top line 50%; Develop a $10M CM product line in 2-3 years
The Sr. Product Manager will lead multi-functional teams to ensure product requirements are completed and technical requirements can be created. The Sr. Product Manager will review, analyze and evaluate end-to-end business systems to develop detailed understanding and requirements of user needs, leveraging some technical knowledge. The Sr. Product Manager will own the roadside integration and vehicle marketplace product launch and full lifecycle management, including the identification and initial diligence into business or technology partnerships, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, understanding the competitive marketplace and trends, developing business cases and pricing, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
The Day to Day:
- Identify and size opportunities, evaluate the market and competitive environment, for new roadside integration and vehicle marketplace products and product extensions over the upcoming 12-18 months.
- Meet with external customers to understand and prioritize their needs and translate their strategic business questions/concerns into projects or analysis as appropriate.
- Develop business and product requirements, including timelines and dependencies and turn those into high-level technical specifications / implicationsÂ
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to identify end customer needs.
- Form roadside integration and vehicle marketplace product hypotheses, design test plans, and communicate learnings back into product development, including technical roadmap.
- Develop the roadside integration and vehicle marketplace product roadmap, prioritize features, build consensus and set expectations with all relevant stakeholders.
- Define methods and metrics for identifying success and failure, and iterate quickly.
- Define and formally document the roadside integration and vehicle marketplace product strategy and roadmap.
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage roadside integration and vehicle marketplace products and enhancements.
- Perform roadside integration and vehicle marketplace product demos to internal associates and clients as needed· Research appropriate business and/or technology relationships as related to development of roadside integration and vehicle marketplace product initiative.
- Participate with other IT staff, and internal customers in new roadside integration and vehicle marketplace product reviews, tests and pilots if necessary.
- Analyze data and processes to determine the value and impact of potential initiatives.
Education, Experience & Personal Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3-5 Years of prior product management experience
- Candidates must possess sophisticated problem solving and highly developed analytical skills
- Experience with qualitative, quantitative and primary research
- Prior experience working in or partnering with marketing/agency teams
- Experience bringing truly new concepts to market; SaaS; startup or high growth environment a plus
