At Rapid7, we believe that Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) capabilities need to be accessible for every security team to stay ahead of the ever changing threat landscape. We are looking for a customer-focused, detail-oriented, data-driven senior product manager to join our team and help drive this mission forward across our portfolio of products and platform.
About the Role
In this role, you will be working with a high-performing, innovative team of designers, engineers, product managers, and customer-facing leaders. You will focus on the intersection between automation and overall security event management by defining and enabling how security teams collaborate across their business using Rapid7 products and services.
On a day-to-day basis you will be working closely with our customers and across product teams to understand, design, and deliver new product capabilities that solve real world user automation problems.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to own the automation platform vision across the Rapid7 product portfolio; including communication with internal and external teams of varying business levels
- Partner with customer research, UX, product and engineering teams to ensure we create the best automation integrations and experiences that maximize customer and business impact
- Manage multiple initiatives and product life cycles that map to Rapid7's business objectives and product strategy
- Define, design, and lead execution of user requirements into product and customer deliverables, partnering with multiple teams through the Rapid7 product SDLC processes
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and understanding of initiatives, customer outcomes, and urgency to mitigate risks in dependencies for deliverables
- Create and report upon KPIs and metrics to monitor customer adoption and prioritization
- Lead, coach, and mentor colleagues through influence; positively contributing to our product culture in a highly complex and fast-changing environment
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a product manager, developing SaaS B2B software products
- Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity automation concepts, techniques, and practices and an eagerness to stay up-to-date on emerging trends and competitors
- Ability to articulate and understand unique complexities of orchestration and automation initiatives; including third-party partnership limitations and configurations
- Fluency in driving the complete product lifecycle, having operated in the unique space of SOAR with an excellent understanding of how to map use-cases to solutions and concepts
- Ideally, experience in cybersecurity or security operations centers, but not mandatory
- A fast learner with an open-mind to accept, seek and consider opinions from a wide range of stakeholders
- Superb communication abilities that adjust based on the levels of seniority in the business
- A track record of successfully positioning products and their features within a highly competitive landscape
We know that the best ideas and solutions come from multi-dimensional teams. That's because these teams reflect a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences. If you are excited about this role and feel your experience can make an impact, please don't be shy - apply today.
