Senior Product Manager (Cloud)

Job Summary

The NetApp BlueXP platform team is responsible for building and leading the industry's "best-in-class" management platform. We have a unique opportunity to execute on our "Unified Fabric" within the Product Management team at NetApp. The BlueXP platform team works closely with On-Prem, Cloud File Services, and Data Service product and engineering teams, along with GTM teams such as Solution Architects, Product Marketing, Sales, Partners, and Data Analytics.

As a Senior Product Manager in the Platform product team, you will define and evolve our end-to-end vision, strategy, and execution by leading a core team of engineers and designers to build for our expansive customer base. We're looking for someone who can partner and collaborate across various internal teams, a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of our customers and cloud technologies, such as Software as a Service, containerization, high availability, and elastic scaling, with a strong understanding of enterprise storage and hybrid cloud IT infrastructure concepts.

Job Requirements

• Convert the strategy and strategic initiatives into well-developed plans and objectives over different time frames.
• Work cross functionally with NetApp portfolio to understand product & cloud services roadmap and develop core platform roadmap which enables seamless deployment & orchestration.
• Work closely with platform & cloud service architects to drive alignment on the overall platform architecture , supported integrations and data flows.
• Develop roadmaps and build consensus across different types of stakeholders across the organization.
• Oversee the platform's development, ensuring alignment with the strategy by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Establish and enforce platform governance policies, including guidelines for third-party integrations, data security, and compliance. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Assist the product team by adequately resourcing different tasks.
• Provide help and insight to the product team in developing a compelling product roadmap that's based on customer needs, strategic opportunities, and overall company resources.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical requirements and guide the development process.
• Work with the data analytics and finance teams to extrapolate usage & financial metrics needed to measure the success of the product roadmap.

Technical skills:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role
• Experience building enterprise cloud services or platforms
• A strong understanding of technology, software development processes, and platform architecture is crucial. Familiarity with APIs, data management, cloud computing, and security concepts is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of cloud services and hybrid cloud uses cases of enterprise customers
• Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Customer Support or Marketing.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to identify and address challenges and find innovative solutions. Ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions in complex and dynamic environments.
• Understanding of business models, market dynamics, and customer needs. Ability to identify monetization opportunities, drive revenue growth, and make sound business decisions.
• The platform landscape is constantly evolving, so being adaptable and having a growth mindset is essential. Continuously learn and stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• The ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams without direct authority. Influence stakeholders and drive consensus in decision-making processes.

Education

• A minimum of 10+ year's of experience in product management or related technical role and 5+ years of experience in Cloud Technologies is preferred.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master's degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required.
