As a Senior Product Manager focused on Market Expansion, you will lead the international growth strategy of a mission-critical SaaS platform that supports the full merchant lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to drive product expansion into new regions, beginning with Canada and extending into additional global markets. You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, engineering, compliance, partnerships, and go-to-market execution, owning the entire expansion journey from research and planning to launch and adoption. Working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will help shape localized product experiences, build strategic integrations, and create scalable foundations for future growth. Accountabilities:
- Own and execute the international expansion roadmap, prioritizing new market launches and defining long-term growth opportunities across multiple geographies.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic processor and partner integrations, collaborating closely with engineering teams to develop scalable and localized solutions.
- Research, analyze, and document market-specific requirements, including regulatory frameworks, payment methods, localization needs, compliance obligations, and operational considerations.
- Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specifications to guide successful product delivery.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clear alignment between business objectives, customer needs, technical dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and ongoing stakeholder communication.
- Define and support go-to-market strategies for new market launches, including positioning, sales enablement, partner communications, and launch readiness planning.
- Collaborate with marketing, legal, compliance, finance, and commercial teams to ensure successful market entry and ongoing operational compliance.
- Conduct competitive research and market analysis to identify opportunities, customer expectations, and product differentiation strategies.
- Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators related to market adoption, product utilization, onboarding success, and business growth.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance market research, requirement gathering, analysis, documentation, and decision-making processes.
- Minimum 5 years of product management experience, including at least 3 years within payments, fintech, B2B SaaS, or closely related industries.
- Proven experience successfully launching, scaling, or expanding products into new international markets.
- Strong product ownership capabilities with hands-on experience managing roadmaps, product backlogs, user stories, and delivery cycles.
- Deep understanding of payment ecosystems, processor integrations, localization requirements, currency management, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience supporting or leading go-to-market initiatives, including product positioning, launch planning, stakeholder enablement, and market adoption strategies.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to define success metrics and evaluate business outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear requirements and effectively engage cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proficiency with agile product development methodologies and tools such as Jira.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in evolving environments with limited structure and high levels of ambiguity.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their practical application across product management workflows.
- Experience with Canadian payments ecosystems, privacy regulations, UK/EU payment frameworks, or merchant lifecycle platforms is considered a strong asset.
- Annual base salary of $120,000–$145,000 USD, with compensation adjusted based on experience, qualifications, and location.
