Summary:
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Umo team to drive our vision and roadmap for our transit agencies, authorities, and their riders. The primary focus for this position will be on product strategy and execution for our Umo Pass products and services including our Admin Portal, Merchant Portal, Passenger Portal, and overall fare payments platform. These products represent the core of Umo and are used by every Umo transit agency in service today. You'll use your skills in customer empathy, design, and execution to deeply understand those that you're serving with these and other products with a bright future of innovation that extends beyond typical transit applications and services. Be prepared to spend time truly thinking about what matters most to these agencies, their retailers, and riders as we'll expect you to well-qualify market windows and opportunities with sound reasoning for strategy and execution given the influence you'll have on where we go in the future.

They should spend time thinking and learning every day regardless of how busy it might get and must always be dedicated to making things incrementally better. We put a lot of trust and faith in our team members and this person must instinctively know how to use that for the betterment of our product, team, and customers. They must have experience in surprising and delighting customers and in driving operational efficiency in both process and product. Finally, experience being bottom-line responsible for delivering products is a must with special attention given to those that specialize in the "last mile" and "where the rubber meets the road", without excuses. You will be hands-on. Always.

Additional Information
(Colorado only*) Minimum full-time salary range between $143,145 - $167,387 + benefits.
*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation range for this role when being hired to work from Colorado.
(New York City only**) Minimum full-time salary range between $184,869 - $216,177 + benefits.
**Note: Disclosure as required by the New York City Human Rights Law.
The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. What you'll be doing:
- Leading product for the Umo Pass platform
- Using your experience with cloud-hosted platforms to innovate solutions that drive customer value, reduce cost, and increase flexibility
- Bringing your industry experience with automated fare collection, fare payment, or high technology solutions to a team of bright, industry innovators who strongly believe in "first principles"
- Managing the relationships with our current and future transit integration partners that help us bring our fare payment products and services to market
- Keeping current (or ahead) in the Fare Collection Industry space to drive novel concepts that fit the needs our customers didn't even know they had
- Innovating in a rapidly growing product development organization and collaborating with the broader Umo product team and the rest of the Cubic Transportation Systems organization to continuously improve how we address market opportunities at large
- Obsessing over the speed of delivery for our new agency customers, but through efficient and automated processes instead of manual labor
- Bringing new partners and opportunities to the table for faster growth across the entire platform
- Working with contracts, product, program, and engineering team members to drive operational efficiency and a return-on-investment capital
- Identifying new market opportunities and partnerships in conjunction with our business development team that allows future partnerships to develop and advantage the Umo solution
- Discovering cost efficiencies hidden in plain sight while challenging yourself to tackle the bigger opportunities to drive the cost of our solutions down for our customers' benefit
- Having a constant, insatiable need to gather and understand our customers' challenges to overcome them with truly innovative solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
- At least 6 years of product management or related experience
- Experience managing software product development through the entire lifecycle process
- An absolute passion for improving the customer experience for our customers
- Superior project management skills to organize and execute many initiatives in parallel
- A passion to manage and grow people and experience doing so
- Advanced abilities to prioritize, triage, and ultimately address large scale unexpected challenges
- A demonstrated ability to use knowledge and data to evolve product strategy
- A refined ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while still having fun
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diversity of experience in product management, project management, vendor management, user experience, contracts, and customer support
- Direct experience with Software-As-A-Service business models, products, and services, especially with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Transit industry experience, especially in the areas of technology development and delivery
- Success driving strategy through behavioral analytics tools, data, use of feature flags, and customer engagement and research platforms
- Pragmatic Marketing, SAFe, Scrum, or other related Product or Agile practice certifications
