About the role 

Mezmo is seeking an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. Join a values-driven culture as we advance our mission: to enable the people who create solutions that shape the world.

In this highly-visible role, you will help build and expand our go-to-market activities through a deep understanding of customer needs, insight into the observability category, and the ability to craft messaging that resonates with our developer, DevOps, SREs, and security engineering leaders. 

This particular role focuses on customer and partner marketing. As a technology innovator, marketing Mezmo’s early customer successes through case studies, testimonials, and inviting customers to participate in webinars or other communications programs is vital to building repeatable business. And as part of the observability ecosystem, Mezmo is always deployed alongside other observability players such as Datadog, Splunk, Elastic, and many others. This role will drive joint marketing deliverables  for our partnership program.

Responsibilities:

  • Be marketing’s customer advocate: Dive deep into success stories, understanding the customer journey to create impactful narratives via case studies, webinars, customer testimonials, and other public content.
  • Working with Mezmo’s business development and product teams, collaborate with strategic technology partners to create mutually beneficial co-marketing initiatives, fostering strong relationships that drive brand exposure, lead generation, and revenue growth.
  • Manage competitive intelligence initiatives, driving the development of battle cards and playbooks, and managing our competitive information platform, Crayon. Become the go-to expert on our competitors, arming the sales team with the knowledge and tools they need to win in the market.
  • Empower the sales team: Collaborate with the sales team to equip them with the tools and resources needed to communicate the value proposition effectively  
  • Partner with the Growth Marketing team to develop compelling content that fuels go-to-market campaigns, including eBooks, webinars, whitepapers, and blogs.
  • Conduct market ICP and persona research: Dive into the market landscape to uncover valuable insights, analyze competitor activity, customer feedback, and industry trends, and translate those findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Launch new products with a bang: Lead exciting product launches, orchestrate cross-functional teams, and develop multi-channel marketing plans that generate buzz and excitement among customers and partners alike.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in product marketing or a related function. 
  • Relevant experience in the observability category is a plus.
  • Deep empathy for customers and an ability to adapt how you communicate to reach and engage our audiences effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as an innate ability to listen.
  • Technical curiosity. You are passionate about learning new technologies. 
  • A team-first mentality. Product Marketing works with nearly every discipline at Mezmo. You thrive in collaborative environments.
  • A passion for enabling Mezmo’s customers, partners, and community to be highly productive and successful. 
  • A bias towards action and getting things done.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multitask.

Compensation:

This role has an annual starting salary range of $164,000.00 - $226,000.00 + equity + benefits. Actual compensation is influenced by a various factors, including but not limited to your individual skills, experience, and location.
