We are seeking an experienced Senior Master Data Management Consultant with the ability to establish MDM programs from both the business and technical perspectives. The Senior Master Data Management Consultant will be responsible for developing product master data strategies and actionable roadmaps and assisting the client to execute the plans. The Senior Master Data Management Consultant will engage with other FSFP team members focused on Data Governance, Data Quality and Metadata Management to deliver holistic data solutions to the client. This position reports to one of our principal consultants and will collaborate and support our consultants and clients.   

What You'll be Doing: 

  • Understand the entire product development, manufacturing and distribution process, including the nuanced differences between product in bill of materials and product as a finished good, regional and business unit requirements, financial reporting requirements, and other data operational or analytics needs 
  • Communicate technical architecture direction, coordinate technical proof of concept analysis and provide technical depth in discussions with the client 
  • Lead product master data assessment engagements and workshops based on FSFP’s methodology and provide gap analysis from both a technical and business perspective, highlighting current state, future state, client needs, best practices, definitions of success and solution offerings 
  • Develop product master data vision by engaging with internal stakeholders at all levels, then supervise the breakdown of that vision into an actionable roadmap of use cases  
  • Develop roadmap/methodology required to move from current state to future state in terms of people, process and architecture 
  • Drive MDM strategy, Process Design, high-level MDM architecture requirements and the implementation roadmap 
  • Define & implement measurable KPIs to gauge ROI and success of enterprise product MDM initiative.  
  • Manage client expectations, establish credibility at all levels within the client and build problem-solving partnerships with the client and colleagues 
  • Provide expert knowledge of enterprise master data strategies and best practices  
  • Lead a team to design and implement high quality MDM solutions 
  • Identify new services opportunities within customer 

What You Should Have: 

  • BA/BS or advanced degree in Business/Computer Science/MIS or related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 5 – 12 years’ experience in Information Management: Data or Enterprise Architecture, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Metadata Management, Data Warehousing and Business Analytics. 
  • 3 – 5 years specializing in the technical side of MDM (data models, software, implementation and technologies) as well as the business and operational side 
  • 10+ years of project delivery and client relationship management 
  • Success in leading teams to achieve project objectives and timelines 
  • Proven track record of excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong presentation skills  
  • Ability to effectively relate technical concepts to non-technical audience and requirements to technical teams 
  • Must be able to respond to calls, emails, and participate in Zoom video meetings during the client’s core business hours. Occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, and evening/weekend hours to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high quality of work products with little supervision 
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites if required in the future 
  • Knowledge of project management tools, such as Scrum or Waterfall 
  • Experience with Data Governance and Change Management as it pertains to the technical side of Information Management is a plus. 
  • CDMP Data Management certification is highly preferred   
  • Ability to travel up to 50% if needed. (This is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • Candidate must be able to work remotely and have a professional backdrop for regular video meetings.
