Job Description
Who we are
We are creating the best way to finance clean energy for the home to help combat climate change. Mosaic partners directly with solar and home improvement professionals, who use our simple point-of-sale app to offer financing to their customers. This makes it easy and affordable for families to make energy-efficient upgrades to their homes. Since 2012, Mosaic has funded more than $7 billion in loans through our platform and helped more than 200,000 homeowners switch to sustainable solutions. Join us as we work toward our vision of 100% clean energy for all.
The Team
The product team at Mosaic is composed of highly talented and growth-obsessed team members. We try very hard to be design-minded (not just how it looks but how it works) and human-centered (solve for people, not for features). We have the discipline to put Product Discovery (understand everything about the problem first) ahead of Product Design (define the solution). And the product team cares deeply about the Win the Market strategy on how we position, launch, and iterate products and features to maximize impact.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Product Operations Manager to join our product team and support a portfolio of strategic accounts and ecosystem expansion programs. You are part Product Manager and part Program Manager; you deeply understand our technology platform and excel at problem solving for and tracking against multiple concurrent workstreams. You know when to solve on behalf of the product team and also when and how to bring in your product SME teammates. You strive to find win-win-win solutions, changing your communication style for the audience, and have a get things done obsession. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role and you will partner with leads from all departments of Mosaic.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Operations Manager who is…
- Outcome focused. You know how to drive conversations, collaboration, and workstreams focused to achieve the goal. You are a polished communicator and facilitator and are trusted to represent the company through high impact partner engagements. You continually go back to the Company OKRs and how your programs can have the biggest impact.
- Process smart. You are an experienced product/tech-minded business professional and you’ve implemented and been part of many different processes. You instinctively know the right process for the job, and are mindful that the process should work for the people, not the other way around. You love thinking things through as repeatable processes to maximize results.
- Product minded. You know our technology platform and product offerings and features extremely well. You use this to efficiently problem solve, propose the right solutions, and navigate through the build of future features.
- A trusted team member. Cross-functional team members of all levels trust your guidance. Team members are fully bought-in to your approach and collaboration style. You gain trust by serving as a valued catalyst to the right cross-team collaboration.
- Motivated by launching things. There is nothing better than launching something big with team members you love working with. You get energy by thinking about additional value you can add to our customers and our internal team members.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive multiple initiatives to support strategic partner product implementations and ecosystem expansion efforts
- Partner closely with Product Management, Business Development, Sales, Executive Leadership, Technology, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to design and launch co-sponsored programs
- Represent the company at high-stakes customer and prospective customer meetings
- Partner with Product Management on creation of and execution against short, medium and long-term roadmaps
- Effectively create and manage project plans, decision making process and documentation, and any/all other artifacts to support the collaboration on and ultimate long-term success of the program
- Implement and manage a Release Management structure, partnering with engineering program management to build out the delivery process
- Collaborate on portfolio management and planning structure
- Ensure Product Management is equipped to scale and grow consistently and with low friction by improving alignment, communications, documentation, and processes around the product
- As needed, program management and launch planning for key product initiatives
What you bring to the team
- 5+ years in technical program management and/or product management experience at a FinTech or SaaS company
- High EQ and ability to navigate an organization to get things done
- Proven ability to implement processes and frameworks for technology-based companies
- Deep understanding of agile software development processes
- Experience managing programs that include APIs
- Experience working with systems that handle sensitive data and with controls and change management processes
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology; MBA a huge plus
