Description

UKG is looking for a Senior Product Owner who can take the lead of Agile development teams, providing vision and direction to both the team and stakeholders, while documenting user stories and requirements.

About the role:

• Ensure that the team always has a sufficient number of well-prepared tasks to work on.• Plan and prioritize the product feature backlog and development for the product.• Collaborate with Product Managers to define the product vision, road-map, and growth opportunities.• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value and aligns with the product strategy.• Manage backlog, iteration planning, and elaboration of user stories.• Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog based on business value or ROI.• Take an active role in addressing impediments that may impact the team's successful completion of Release/Sprint Goals.• Keep abreast of our competitors and industry trends.• Stay updated with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.• Provide functional demonstrations of products.• Assist in drafting and editing product-related documentation.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product launches.

Qualifications

About you:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.• 4+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Software/Product Business Analyst Role• Strong analysis, organization, written and verbal communication, ability to grasp new domains quickly and understand the upstream and downstream effect• Ability to work independently to coordinate and implement solutions to complex functional issues• 3+ years experience in Agile or Lean Software Development environment such as Kanban or Scrum

Preferred Qualifications:

• Functional and technical knowledge of Payroll or Tax systems strongly desired.• Masters Degree or MBA
