Job Summary
The Senior Program Finance Manager for the Civil Systems Group (CSG) provides leadership in all areas of program analytics, financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities for The Aerospace Corporation. Specific responsibilities include direct delivery analysis, government customer interaction, tracking of funding, annual and multi-year budgeting, development of financial forecasts and planning scenarios, development and implementation of financial and operational metrics, dashboards, and capital expenditure planning. Responsible for improvements in financial and business processes as prescribed by the Group CFO and Financial Management Council (FMC). Will serve as a trusted financial advisor to all levels of the Division, providing the financial data, trends analysis, and predictive analytics the corporation needs to deliver its value proposition to customers and to meet its goals and commitments. Will work closely with Group CFO to ensure a consistent vision and implementation of FMC financial policies, practices, and processes throughout the Company.

What You'll Be Doing

• Integral member of the organization and corporate management teams; key business advisor to senior executives and organization managers; significant contributor in the development of strategic plans and business-related processes; implements near-term and long-range strategies
• Serves as the primary business and financial interface with senior level customers (internal and external)
• Implements corporate standard FMC processes, tools, and cadence within CSG organization, optimizing compliance and efficiency; directs development and maintenance of cost and schedule baselines and forecasts that meet the program and company requirements
• Develops and manages financial plans and forecasts for direct and indirect funded activities at the organization level; tracks and performs analyses for various budgets; and maintains organizational statistics
• Compares and analyzes financial results with plans and forecasts; identifies trends, assesses, and communicates reliable metrics that management can use to make informed business decisions. Uses data-driven insights to recommend corrective actions to achieve financial plans
• Informs Group CFO and General Managers on financial trends, reporting unit performance and recommend corrective actions to achieve financial plans
• Manages direct reports

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• Seven or more years of experience in financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting
• Direct experience managing teams
• Working knowledge of SAP, Deltek Cobra, Tableau and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools (Twenty5, Cora, Planisware)

How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

• MBA, CPA and/or advanced degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field
• Two or more years of experience in a US government (Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) contracting environment
• Experience with baseline planning and scheduling, forecasting, and estimating, and/or cost/schedule integration techniques
• Experience in program management reporting and briefing, risk management tracking and/or corrective action plans
• Strong analytical skills. Proactive in analyzing data and variances to help inform future performance on our projects
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changes as needed
• Cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to make critical decisions and influence others
• Knowledge of cost accounting standards (CAS)
• Actively identifies high potential diverse talent and significantly contributes to their career development and advancement
• Prior experience as a Financial or Program Control Manager, or equivalent is desired.
• Prior experience within research or FFRDC environment, is desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCI Access

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
