The Opportunity
As a Senior Program Manager (Product) you will work across engineering, design, and product to create processes that enable improved coordination, predictability, and transparency. You will identify and overcome delivery roadblocks in a complex, cross-functional environment. You will manage multiple product development projects and drive the execution of the product team and broader cross-organizational change initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX Design, Product Management, and Engineering, to ensure the timely delivery of products and features by developing processes that improve predictability and transparency, identify dependencies, and ensure that teams are working together efficiently to overcome roadblocks.
- Apply business acumen to formulate practical and effective program management approaches to ensure new products are delivered to the market expeditiously to maximize revenue streams. Develop comprehensive product program reports and associated schedules.
- Lead the process to help key stakeholders understand dependencies and trade-offs throughout the product development.
- Assist in aligning the right resources to the suitable projects at the right time, ensuring optimal deployment of individual resources and requirements are clearly understood.
- Establish and extend best practices enterprise-wide by continuously iterating on Program Management processes and capturing best practices.
- Manage multiple concurrent product programs varying in size and complexity while rapidly adjusting to changes in priorities.
- Support AOP and quarterly Initiative Planning and contribute to OKR setting and prioritization.
- Develop future-oriented processes and best practices to support organizational scale and rapid growth.
- Expertise in operational excellence and process improvement methodologies as a needed skill
- Maintain operational and communication cadence to hold partners accountable and ensure successful delivery of programs.
Skills/Qualifications
- min 6 years of experience in SaaS product development and release management with direct experience working with multiple scrum teams using AgileÂ
- Proven ability to earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders quickly; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity; adapt to and manage change quickly
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering or related equivalent work experience
- Agile Certification (such as Scrum Alliance Scrum Master (CSM) or Scaled Agile SAFe Agilist (SA)) preferred
- Thrive in a culture of ownership, delivery, and innovation.Â
- Ability to traverse vertically and horizontally in a large organizationÂ
- Excellent balance of people, organizational, and technical skills, and can execute and deliver successfully in situations where authority is not a given.Â
- Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbalÂ
- Effective presenter, negotiator, and collaborator - regardless of organizational structure or hierarchy.Â
- Equally passionate about business and technologyÂ
- Professional team player with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Â
- Experience and familiarity with industry-standard project management software products such as Jira, Smartsheets, and Google Suite.
