Responsibilities:
- Develop a roadmap and strategy for product security, ensuring alignment with business objectives and widely accepted industry guidelines.
- Implement and enhance security controls and frameworks to ensure the protection of Pluralsight's products and customer data
- Work together with product management, engineering, and other individuals involved to incorporate security measures throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability management to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Lead incident response efforts and conduct investigations as needed
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends, and develop proactive measures to address them
- Provide training and education to employees regarding security awareness and effective strategies.
- Foster a culture of security and compliance throughout the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing product security programs
- Extensive understanding of security frameworks, standards, and established methodologies, like OWASP, NIST, and ISO.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools and incident response processes
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications are strongly preferred
Physical and Mental requirements:
Work is performed in an office (or home office) environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive work. Meaningful movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
