The Opportunity
Seeking a Sr. Project Manager on the Complaints Solutions Team in BSS Quality Regulatory and Engineering Solutions. Be part of a dynamic environment, delivering high value quality critical solutions to multiple Abbott business units globally.
What You'll Work On
- Owning and delivering numerous complex IT projects with medium to high complexity.
- Plan, execute and manage all aspects of the projects including initiation, planning, execution, validation and closure.
- Work with business and IT management to gain consensus on project scope, objectives and deliverables.
- Identify resource requirements, cost, and time schedules.
- Lead cross-functional teams through project planning exercises to develop detailed schedules and integrated project plans.
- Develop an implementation plan, conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to accommodate unforeseen events.
- Manage cross functional project teams including Business Analysts, Developers, Validation Analysts.
- Responsible for tracking the overall project budget.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to keep management and team informed. Identify problems, their resolution, trends, and their impact on project success; propose recommendations for management action.
Required Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years IT project management experience using Waterfall project management methodology.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Strong Change control and risk/issue management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in Project Management delivering complex software development/ Quality projects on time and within budget.
Preferred:
- Experience managing GxP software validation projects, processes, and methodologies.
- Experience with Complaints Handling and other Quality systems.
- Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) Certification.
- On Site in Waukegan, IL or Maple Grove, MN

The base pay for this position is
$90,700.00 - $181,300.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
