Department Overview
The Flex team develops software for public safety organizations to manage public safety responders' workflow and operational intelligence management. We build products to serve large cities that need sophisticated, customized workflows to smaller municipalities that need cost-effective, end-to-end solutions. All of our systems are built scalable and highly reliable. We provide both cloud and on-premises solutions.
These efforts are all in support of our solutions for public safety customers. This team is part of the Software Enterprise division, which offers secure, reliable, and efficient team communications, and records and evidence solutions for critical public safety and enterprise markets worldwide.
Job Description

Seeking smart, self-motivated, well-rounded Senior QA Automation Engineer who excels at identifying defects, solving problems, and has a quality-first mindset. Must value teamwork and communication. Will work closely with other Quality Assurance Analysts assigned to other teams to ensure consistency and reliability in creating automated test efforts. Will work closely with QA Automation Engineers to identify candidates for automation and ensure automation adequately covers software features. Must be adept at learning new technologies quickly. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate development

• Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the development team

• Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meets end-user expectations

• Identify areas for improvement to enhance the product's efficiency

• Help establish, document, and enforce standards, procedures, and specifications for automated testing.

• Work closely with Automation Engineers to assess test coverage and triage test failures.

• Work closely with a distributed global team of engineers and QA analysts.

• Collaborate designs with team members in order to find the solution that best fits the requirements.

• Consult with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.

• Work with support to resolve customer issues as needed

 

Desired Experience: 

• Proficiency in at least one Programming Language

• Designing the automation testing frameworks

• Writing the testing scripts

• Be able to define the test automation approach

• Sufficient Knowledge of Automation Tools

• Clearly Understanding Business Requirements 

• Well Versed with Test Management Tools

• Expertise with Agile, DevOps Methodologies & Continuous Delivery

• Knowledge of database testing including designing and manipulating test data a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient on Linux and Windows platforms

Nice to Have

• Knowledge in Ranorex

• Experience creating automated tests for enterprise application

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or Graduation in course

• Be able to communicate effectively in English (read, write and speak)
