Senior React Engineer
Job Description
We are hiring experienced Senior React Engineers to help build and create a new mobile web experience for our LGBTQ+ dating apps. We are specifically exploring maps-centric designs with boundary-pushing UI concepts, some of which are directly inspired by designs in the Mapbox gallery. We are looking for engineers who are passionate about architecture, web development, and creating new products to delight our users.
What you'll do:
- Work in a labs environment where you will help us build and launch the next generation of queer social dating experiences
- Develop apps using React in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Build well factored, maintainable, and tested code with Test & Behavior Driven Development (TDD & BDD)
- Understand and build using strong architectural patterns
- Have a strong sense of OO programming and Architectural patterns
- Excel at communication with our distributed, remote team
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science, related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of web development experience
- Experience using design and architecture patterns
- Strong knowledge of writing code using Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Strong sense of ownership, ability to work independently, and proven track record of driving products
- Shipped consumer mobile web applications used concurrently by thousands of users.
Nice to Have:
- Experience building progress web apps (PWAs)
- Experience with Javascript maps (Mapbox, Google maps)
- Experience with canvas-based javascript apps
- Be able to work with, mentor, and guide a team of developers
- Full stack knowledge of technologies like Ruby, SQL, Linux, React, and AWS
- Data-driven mindset
Salary Range: $60,000-$200,000
