Senior Revenue Accountant

As a Senior Revenue Accountant you will be responsible for owning several month-end close and reporting processes. You will be expected to have a detailed understanding of relevant GAAP accounting standards related to your assigned accounts and processes, and will be the go-to expert in those areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes and preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Review selected sales transactions and contracts to ensure that revenue is recognized appropriately in accordance with ASC 606
• Perform analytical procedures and reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of records between Salesforce and Netsuite
• Own and drive process and system improvements including bug fixes with business applications team
• Assist accounting and business applications team to complete billing migration from Zuora to Salesforce Billing
• Assist with preparation of schedules for financial statement audit
• Provide support and explanations as needed to other departments and external auditors
• Assist in researching complex or unusual accounting transactions, and document the resulting accounting conclusions
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and processes
• Help develop and maintain a strong accounting team through training, mentoring, managing workloads, and fostering a positive work environment
• Conduct ad hoc financial/operational analysis as required
• Assist with other accounting/finance projects as necessary
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 2+ years accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• Functional understanding of ASC 606, including impact on revenue recognition for various contract terms
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred
• Strong aptitude and proficiency in Excel
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
• Process oriented with an appreciation for financial controls
• Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Eager, quick learner with strong teamwork spirit
