Senior Revenue Accountant

About Us:

YipitData is looking for an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Finance team. 

This is a unique opportunity to work at a high-growth FinTech company together with entrepreneurial yet supportive colleagues.

In this role, you will utilize your exceptional accounting knowledge, ambition, and high attention to detail to own and manage our revenue recognition cycle in accordance with GAAP, review customer contracts, and gain exposure to all elements of the accounting and reporting cycles in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

This is a remote-friendly opportunity that can sit in NYC (where our headquarter is located), one of our office hubs (Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, or Seattle), or anywhere else in the US. However, depending upon where the remote work is performed, income could be subject to New York State tax withholding. Please note that we pay NYC-based salaries for US roles regardless of where employees choose to work.

As our Senior Revenue Accountant, you will : 

• Review customer contracts in line with our internal guidelines and best practices, and coordinate with legal and revenue teams to update draft contracts
• Review executed customer contracts against our Salesforce records for accuracy and completeness
• Own and manage revenue recognition across multiple entities in accordance with GAAP for our monthly financial close in a timely and efficient manner
• Calculate and analyze monthly and quarterly revenue-share reports to our partners, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
• Perform account reconciliations and analysis
• Assist with our yearly financial audit and other ad hoc projects

You are likely to succeed if you have: 

• At least 3 years experience as a staff accountant or similar accounting role in a fast-paced environment (prior experience working with SAAS-based revenue is a big plus!)
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Netsuite or other cloud-based accounting software
• Experience with Salesforce a plus
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Knowledge of GAAP required

• The annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be ~$95K. The final offer may be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal team benchmarks. 

This role may be performed fully remotely within the United States. Depending upon where the remote work is performed, income could be subject to New York State tax withholding.
