A little about us:
The Senior Accountant will be part of the Global Revenue Accounting Team responsible for the financial integrity and accurate reporting of revenues for Yahoo products globally.
A lot about you:
The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting for revenue and related accounts. This role requires the candidate to have exceptional technical skills and to be experienced in strategic and analytical thinking with a firm emphasis on attention to detail. You will need to have the ability to communicate your work clearly with various groups and staff/management of all levels.
Responsibility:

• Ensure 100% controllership integrity
• Key member of the team responsible for revenue accounting
• Gaining in-depth knowledge of the Yahoo products and financial terms of revenue contracts
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition
• Work closely with various global finance teams and operations teams to ensure that accounting entries are recorded accurately and timely
• Post and review ledger activities during month-end close which includes: monthly/quarterly journal entries, and month-end checklists based on finance requirements
• Analyze and research accounts and prepare fluctuation commentary for monthly management reporting of detailed accounts by working with the appropriate business partners
• Prepare and ensure that account reconciliations are adequately supported per Balance Sheet reconciliation procedures and guidelines which includes understanding of the revenue and receivables process
• Understand business drivers and their effect on financial results to ensure business changes are accurately reflected in the financial statements
• Perform reviews of current processes and recommend process improvements to gain efficiencies where applicable
• Ensure finance policies and guidelines are met.
• Fulfill external audit and SOX compliance requests as well as provide support STAT audit requests in multiple regions
• Utilize and maximize abilities with current ERP system (Oracle) as well as other financial application tools to create efficiency and standard processes
• Special projects as required
• Assisting management as required on ad hoc tasks and projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA highly preferred
• Minimum 3+ years of Big 4 or public accounting experience OR 5-6 years of relevant accounting experience in private sector / industry
• Prior experience with working in a multinational corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards
• Able to work independently as well as with cross functional groups
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills required
• Strong verbal and written skills along with good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of Oracle financials, Hyperion and Essbase a plus

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $77,250.00 - $128,750.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives.
