The opportunity

We are recruiting for a risk professional to take on the role of Senior Risk Officer playing a key role within the risk function of our Irish EMI. The successful candidate will be involved in a full breadth of processes across the risk function and will need to be open inquisitive and willing to take ownership of delivery of a variety of different tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Chief Risk Officer in developing the risk function

• Assist in the development and maintenance of the Risk Management Framework

• Support the establishment of Risk Management Policies and Procedures

• Interact with the business to prepare and maintain risk registers

• Identify and analyse potential risks and develop mitigation strategies

• Collect and distil key data from across the entity for risk reporting

• Assist in the preparation of material for the Risk Committee and Board meetings

• Conduct Risk Assessments as necessary

• Monitor and develop of risk appetite metrics

• Support group Risk projects as necessary

• Identifying material deviations from the Risk Framework

• Work with business areas to design and implement risk mitigation plans where required

• Support the embedding of a strong risk culture

Skills you should HODL

• Proven Risk Management knowledge and experience

• 5+ years of experience in Risk related business functions;

• A self-starter with ability to work in a small team and take the initiative

• Experience in corporate governance internal controls evaluation and risk

• Strong knowledge of financial regulations ideally in e-money and payment services regulations

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Ability to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
