How you'll make a difference:
Allego is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer who will work with our enterprise and strategic partner accounts.
As a Senior Sales Engineer you will partner with Sales to uncover a customer's current and future states and their goals in order to best position Allego's solutions. You are a strong communicator who can develop compelling presentations and demos that illustrate Allego's business value to customers at all levels. You understand how Allego can fit into a customer's technology stack and the common use cases we can support across systems. You will act as the customer's main technical point of contact and lead the sale to a technical close.
- Become a master user and act as a knowledge expert of Allego's sales learning platform
- Participate in sales calls and meetings both virtually and at client sites.
- Create compelling presentations and collateral that demonstrate our solutions and value proposition aligned to the customer's required objectives.
- Deliver product demonstrations, build proof-of-concepts, and custom product environments to showcase the product.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technical decision makers in accounts to help ensure the smooth process throughout the sales process, as well as the hand-off to services.
- Take ownership of continuous improvement and refinement of the discovery process, demo scripts, and value add use cases.
- Deliver demonstrations with a methodological and meticulous approach and flawless execution.
- Assist with high-level requirements gathering and RFI/RFP process.
- Articulate our value proposition to senior executives in marketing, sales and IT.
- Act as technical lead for IT/lnfoSec evaluations of Allego's cloud infrastructure and security practices.
- Keep current with technology trends and understand the competitive landscape.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates who have strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities and who possess excellent presentation skills. The ideal candidate Is able to function effectively in a fast-paced organization and successfully balance multiple projects in a team-selling environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
- 7+ years in a fast paced, SaaS high tech Sales Engineer/ Solutions Consultant (Presales) role.
- Ability to set and manage expectations, resources and time.
- Engaging, prescriptive and persuasive communication style.
- Previous exposure to basic web development and cloud security concepts.
- Experience presenting and delivering technical pitches.
- Ability to work well and contribute independently as well as in a team environment.
- Passion for technology and a love for working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Industry knowledge of our key markets (financial services, healthcare, technology, insurance) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel domestically, up to 10%.
- Fluency in cloud infrastructure, cloud security, and information security is a plus.
