The Data Processing Unit (DPU) team within the Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure group is seeking a Senior Silicon Engineer. You will join our front-end silicon team and be responsible for delivering cutting-edge, high performance, low power, scalable and programmable Data Processing Unit silicon.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of related technical engineering experience
  o OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,
  Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering
  experience or internship experience
  o OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,
  Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering
  experience or internship experience
  o OR Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,
  Computer Science, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Application Specific integrated circuit (ASIC)/ System on Chip (SoC) verification with System Verilog (SV)/Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) environments

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in verifying Ethernet, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol , Media Access Control /Physical Coding Sublayer, Networking blocks/Protocol
• In-depth knowledge of verification flows
• Clear understanding of constrained random verification process, functional coverage, assertion methodology & philosophy

Silicon Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
