Senior Software Development Engineer

The Challenge 

Circadence has an immediate opening for passionate and driven full-stack software engineer to join us in creating the ultimate cybersecurity learning platform. Our inclusive and expanding engineering team is pushing the boundaries of Microsoft Azure cloud technology. We are constructing a cutting-edge SaaS platform with a contemporary microservices architecture that utilizes Golang, NoSQL, Postgres, Kubernetes, and gRPC. Additionally, our front-end development is powered by the latest React technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, and Nx. 

Job Description 

The Senior Software Development Engineer will be part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise grade software systems on top of an ever-evolving, modern development stack. You will build, secure, test, integrate, deploy, release, operate and monitor in a “you build it, you run it” team-based hybrid cloud environment. Ideal candidates will have experience balancing live-site management, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt.

Responsibilities 

1. Develop new user-facing features 
2. Build reusable code and libraries for future use 
3. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs 
4. Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability 
5. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders 

Minimum experience and qualifications 

1. BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent industry experience 
2. 6+ years of designing and developing enterprise grade software

Required Competencies 

1. Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques, best practices, design patterns and anti-patterns 
2. Experience with backend languagesframeworks like Go, Python, Node 
3. Experience with Event Driven Architectures such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ 
4. Experience with C#, GraphQL, Django Framework
5. Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript framework, particularly ReactJS 
6. Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 
7. Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS 
8. Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX 
9. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git 
10. Experience with CI/CD automation patterns/constructs to include automated testing 
11. Experience with agile development methodologies & Scrum 
12. Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization 
13. Excellent oral and written communication skills 
14. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

Desired Experience and Skills 

1. Experience with relational (MSSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) database technologies 
2. Experience with Cloud IaaS, PaaS & SaaS such as Microsoft Azure 
3. Knowledge of configuration management software such as Saltstack 
4. Familiarity with resource provisioning technology such as Terraform and Microsoft ARM templates 
5. Familiarity with In-Memory Object storage technologies such as Redis

The Benefits of Working at Circadence

Compensation negotiable, depending on level of experience - $150,000 - $190,000.
