About this Role

We are looking for a talented software engineer to join our team and make a difference in maintaining the existing registry system and building the next generation of our domain name registration platform. In this role you will take part in the entire software development life cycle: from design to implementation and deployment. You will also get an opportunity to work closely with our QA and IT/Operations team through the process. 

We use Java, C# .NET/.NET Core, but seeking someone with experience with any of the major programming languages including Python, Go, etc. If you are looking for an opportunity to learn how to leverage cloud services to run a high availability enterprise solution, Identity Digital is the place for you! AWS Aurora Postgresql, ECS, lambda, api-gateway, dynamodb, glue and step functions are just a few of the services that you will get exposure to as part of your work with us.

What you’ll do in this role

• Work collaboratively as part of an agile team where everyone’s ideas are respected.
• Design new features from the ground up:
  • Exhibit your ability to leverage object oriented design, databases, SOA/microservices, and message queues.
  • Integrate reliability, scalability, testability and security in every decision you make.
• Learn and apply new design approaches to best leverage what cloud services have to offer.
• Write high quality code for new features end-to-end, including the service, business logic and data access layers.
• Continuously deliver features that meet acceptance criteria such as build quality, unit tests, integration tests, application logging, and security.
• Strive to build completely automated software delivery and deployment solutions for our code to stand up new environments in AWS cloud.
• Collaborate with QA to review test cases and ensure proper test case coverage.

What we’d like to see in your experience

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience developing enterprise software with object-oriented programming languages like Java, C# .net core, or other major languages.
• Experience working with cloud technologies, service-oriented architecture (SOA), service bus and queuing technologies are strong assets.
• Experience with SQL (MS-SQL / MySQL / PostgreSQL), SQL query language.
• Proficient in troubleshooting technical problems.
• Proficient in written and spoken English communication.

Education requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.

What will differentiate you from the next candidate

• 2+ years of work experience with development in Unix based environments.
• Proficient in framework(e.g Spring framework), messaging system (e.g RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Experience writing Unit tests (ie JUnit).
• Advanced coding skills (e.g concurrency, performance optimization).
• Experience working with a variety of technologies including Spring Boot, Spring Integration, REST.
• Ability to learn, evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.
