Job Description
About Your Role:
Dotdash Meredith is looking for an experienced technologist with a demonstrated track record of mentorship, innovative thinking, and technical excellence to work on our Content Discovery team. Working with a cross-functional team, you will be partnering with business stakeholders to plan implementations of solutions, as well as working alongside and guiding your team to deliver on these opportunities. As part of the Content Discovery team, you'll be working on widely used components that help users find ways to consume content on our sites, encompassing search, recirculation and navigation.
About your contributions:

• Work in a front-end focused web development environment consisting of HTML, CSS/SCSS, Javascript and our custom in-house framework to power our components.
• Drive technological growth for the team while providing mentorship to other developers on the team.
• Monitor various component metrics to ensure they are performing according to Dotdash Meredith's high standards and investigate issues that arise.
• Work directly with designers, QA, and our product owner in a dedicated scrum team to fully realize the product vision.
• Participate in a well-oiled 2-week sprint agile system to continuously add new features & functionality to the business.

About you:

• 5+ years of experience in Web Development with a focus on HTML, CSS and vanilla Javascript (ES6+).
• Java and VueJS experience is also an asset.
• A team player with a strong history of developer mentorship and guidance. We don't build in silos so being able to collaborate with other team members is a must.
• Comfortable using the tools of modern collaborative Agile+Scrum SDLC, including Git, Jira, planning poker, etc.
• Meticulous eye for quality and design - ensuring that your solutions are held to the highest standards before handing them over to the design and qa review.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tooling
• Comfortability working with modular components and testing in various environments they are used in.
• Curious about new technologies with a drive to pursue change. We're especially interested in exploring AI and ML technologies and how it can help power our components.

Pay Range
Salary: $101,800 - $180,900
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
