The Senior Software Engineer ensures modern and secure development at the fastest tempo possible while aligning our development success to mission needs.
As the Senior Software Engineer you will architect and build production grad products with small, high-paced teams.
Responsibilities:- Integrate, design, and construct APIs to support frontend features.
- Design and deploy clean and well documented code to our database.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers by ensuring that code is clean and well documented.
- Communicate complex topics and technical specifications to customers, peers, and leadership.
- Ensure the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability.
- Write complex database queries.
- This position may require a US Government Clearance, which requires US Citizenship
- 5+ years of experience with:
- Writing HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
- With a programming language
- 3-4 years of experience with:
- Building responsive, production-grade apps.
- Working with staged environments (ie. development, integration/testing and production).
- Using agile methodologies.
- Prototyping in a fast-paced environment with little input.
- Familiarity with geospatial libraries and GIS concepts.
- Familiarity with various serialization formats and/or data exchange methodologies.
- Familiarity with NIX command line and shell scripting.
