Senior Software Engineer, AWS Storage Solutions

Position Summary:

The Sr. Software Engineer, AWS Storage Solutions provides programming and informatics services in support of development, maintenance and testing of QuartzBio’s cutting-edge Biomarker Data Management platform QuartzBio working with an inter-disciplinary team.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain QuartzBio’s critical data infrastructure hosted on AWS
• Diagnose, fix, improve, and automate complex issues across the data platform
• Design and develop programmatic interfaces to Elasticsearch and Amazon S3
• Develop systems to deploy, manage, monitor, and scale Elasticsearch clusters
• Provide datastore expertise to engineering teams through code reviews, pairing, and training
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

• Bachelor’s in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or equivalent experience
• At least 5-6 years of software development experience
• 3+ years of experience running AWS Elasticsearch in a production environment
• 3+ years of experience working with AWS S3, DynamoDB, and RDS
• 3+ years developing APIs with Python
