Title: Senior Software Engineer, Backend
Location: US-Remote

Job Purpose: Join the LTK Family! We are searching for a senior level software engineer to collaborate with our core-tech backend squad responsible for a “universal product catalog” that contains all products of our brand partners and retailers. This is a team that maintains an api that almost all LTK services and apps use to render product details for creators and consumers. The near-real time ingestion of data coupled with the ability to render that product data through LTK are both pivotal pieces of the LTK strategy going forward. you will work on multiple development projects involving high volume data supported by a scaled backend platform of large size and complexity. You will be responsible for conducting and coordinating software development activities throughout the product lifecycle within an Agile Development environment.

The ideal Senior Software Engineer for this space will be highly quantitative, have great judgment and passion for delivering tremendous business value in an uncharted domain through a scalable system that anticipates significant growth across multiple dimensions. You’ll be inventive, and have a pragmatic and iterative approach to delivering high quality software. You’ll simplify and get things done, working effectively with engineering teams across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Build out a catalog of all of our products and help lead the execution of the strategy. 
•  Coming up with feasible and practical solutions to tough problems.
•  Write very high-quality code that is robust and easy to maintain with tests.
• Drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects.
•  Work and succeed in a fast-paced and agile development environment. 
•  Identify and drive improvements to our software and development processes.
•  Conduct peer design/code reviews.
•  Work with distributed teams across different time zones.
•  Technical subject matter expert, who mentors fellow engineers, demonstrates technical experience and leads teams in solving challenging problems.

Qualifications:

•  5+ years of software development experience.
•  History of designing and building highly scalable distributed systems and processes in a cloud environment.
•  Experience with AWS systems such as ECS, Lambda, and RDS (among others).
•  Experience working in a containerized environment (preferably Docker).
•  Experience writing services in Golang, Python or Java
•  Have built scalable internal and public-facing APIs (REST, JSON, HTTP).
•  Experience integrating 3rd party API's (REST, OAuth).
•  Experience with Kubernetes.
•  Comfortable shipping code multiple times per day.
•  Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
•  Ability to model and conceptualize the integrations across complex systems.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have:

• Experience working in big data.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms like Shopify and BigCommerce.
•  Relational Database experience such as MySql 
•  Experience with non-relational data stores such as DynamoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with Observability tools like Datadog or Grafana
