The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with experience and interest in Engineering Enablement. The Engineering Enablement team is building a cutting-edge technology framework that facilitates developer productivity with quality and security being integrated into the fabric of our products and services. This team is part of the Cloud group responsible for building a Cloud platform that enables teams to create products at scale and power our application modernization plans. Being passionate about developer efficiency, reducing development toil, and automating as much of the development process as possible is critical.

You will work with the team to collaborate on software solutions and ensure exceptional software engineering practices, quality, and good documentation. It's essential to be willing to take on new skills to meet the shifting demands of accelerating our modernization efforts to the public cloud and Kubernetes world.

How You'll Help Take Us There

  • Work within the Engineering Enablement team to implement well-architected, cloud-native solutions that deliver the best possible experience for our clients and engineering teams who leverage our platform
  • Develop software tools and services to support product development teams release high quality, robust builds efficiently 
  • Help make developer experience as frictionless as possible 
  • Contribute to building and maintain CI/CD pipelines for services and applications 
  • Be part of a scrum team comprised of skilled technology professionals with the goal to enable engineers to perform at their best 
  • Implement and support products/initiatives from infancy to maturity 
  • Work closely with enterprise architects, engineering and product managers 
  • Be a core member of an agile team driving the latest development practices, writing code and tests, working with API specs and automation 
  • Transform business ideas into highly utilized features and services for our customers 
  • Establish technical standards for developing and testing software 
  • Assist with testing software and troubleshooting issues 
  • Meet with team members to come up with software solutions 
  • Optimize and maintain existing software 

What We’re Looking for  

  • Highly motivated Software Engineer with an interest in DevOps and/or Tools Development 
  • 7+ years minimum of progressive software development experience 
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, deploying, and automating infrastructure & platform services in Public Clouds (AWS, GCP, and Azure) using Infrastructure as Code.  
  • Real world hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins 
  • Automation and DevSecOps Pipeline tools - Ansible, Maven, Gradle, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Cloud Formation, etc.  
  • Solid understanding of cloud native architectures for containerized microservices  
  • Strong knowledge and experience with service-oriented architecture 
  • In-depth knowledge of software design patterns  
  • Expert level knowledge in at least one and preferably both: Java, Python 
  • Advanced level of Linux OS and scripting skills 
  • Experience with code quality and security tools - SonarQube, CheckMarx, Prisma, etc 
  • Real world experience with distributed systems, especially containers, Docker, and Kubernetes; and experience with both cloud and on-premises Kubernetes deployments  
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options  
  • Strong knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL, and experience with service-oriented and event-driven system architectures  
  • Expert in defining, designing, and developing distributed and scalable products and services  
  • Experience with Software as a Service products and integrating multiple SaaS products 
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment  
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem resolution skills 
  • Strong written, verbal, and team communications skills  
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and colleagues across the organization, as well as open attitude about sharing work-in-progress and developing ideas (from yourself and others). BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject 
  • AWS certification (Solutions Architect/Developer) preferred

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $150,000 USD to $175,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
