About the team:
Design and develop a scalable and secure cloud foundation for Robinhood.
As a foundational team, Cloud Infrastructure owns and manages Robinhood's cloud footprint across all the AWS accounts, regions and environments. Robinhood historically has not spent enough time and energy to define environments, regions, AWS accounts, network isolation and security at the core infrastructure level in the cloud. This has often led to incurring huge costs to launch products, putting our business at continuity and security risk.
The mission of this team would be to set Robinhood up for long term security and scalability by redefining and operating the bottom most layer of our stack allowing our products to be scalable, more secure, reliable and serving our international ambitions.
What you'll do day-to-day:

• Design large scale systems within a team, making the right tradeoffs for risk and long-term maintainability.
• Proactively identify and drive optimizations and improvements to the infrastructure and systems.
• Lead organization-wide collaboration for the team.
• Contribute to open source projects.

About you:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• You have experience and knowledge on building large scale distributed systems & infrastructure.
• Experience with AWS or relavant cloud technologies.

Bonus points:

• Open source contributions within Kubernetes.

Technologies we use:

• Terraform(core cloud infrastructure shards only)
• AWS Foundations (SCP, VPC, Networks, Subnets, Compute)
• Python/Go

CO Residents: In Colorado, the base pay for this position ranges from $146000 to $194000. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and participation in Robinhood's equity plan.
