Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET), Brazil

At Podium, a Senior Software Engineer in Test (or SDET as known in the industry) develops automated tools to speed up the CI/CD process and protect our customers from bugs and outages. QA at Podium is about much more than protection from bugs; we provide performance, scaling, and reliability information to our Product, Development, and SRE teams. We also enjoy a high degree of autonomy and all of the work we do is automation-based, no manual testing required! 

What you will be doing:

• Working on the daily with these core technologies: Cypress, Python, Pytest, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, GitLab CI/CD, & AWS
• Attend daily stand up and work through sprint assignments
• Increasing automation test coverage for web and API applications
• Help define technical vision for a fast evolving org
• Make sure that you set a high bar for availability, scalability, and security
• Participating in an on-call rotation

What you should have:

• 5+ years professional experience developing and testing software
• Relevant experience in a QA role + experience in software QA automation
• Experience in one or more Test Automation Frameworks for web and/or API
• Demonstrated ability to own, design, lead and implement test strategies for complex applications
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs and product strategy
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations
• Passion for mentoring more junior engineers on the team.
