Senior Software Engineer - OTT
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong interest in working with our Over the Top (OTT) video customers and various Brightcove functions to lead and develop technical architectures for Brightcove’s “Beacon” solution. If you are accountable, a self starter, creative and passionate we want to hear from you!
In this role, you will be working with a geographically dispersed team enabling Brightcove Beacon customer journeys from sales, delivery & launch through updates as customers evolve their business and reach new viewing audiences.
This is a customer facing role where you will be supporting customers throughout their journey as a Brightcove customer, while providing a customer-centric focus and demonstrating the value Beacon can deliver to our customers!
Job ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Guides technical architecture and implementation for Beacon customers.
- Attends customer calls and provides technical direction and clarification.
- Collaborates with customers and internal Brightcove teams to define technical solutions.
- Researches & troubleshoots complex, technical architecture/issues.
- Contributes to configuration and validation of customer integrations.
- Reviews issues reported by customers and collaborates with internal engineering and customer delivery teams to resolve.
Qualifications/ExperienceÂ
- 5+ years of experience working in a software development/delivery environment.
- 1+ years of experience interacting with customers in a technical customer facing role.
- Proficient in English verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to research technologies and provide technical guidance.
- Experience in OAuth 2.0, OIDC and SSO implementations is a strong plus.
- Experience with Application delivery platforms such as Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, is desirable.
- Knowledge of payment flows in Application platforms such as Stripe, Shopify is a plus.
- Familiar with Waterfall, Iterative and Agile methods of delivery.
- Very detail oriented, quick independent learner, accountable and strong time management.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with customers, cross-functional engineers, program/ project managers and support personnel.
- Positive attitude with excellent collaboration and “one team” mentality.
- Comfort with fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; agility, adaptability, and flexibility a must.
- Ability to set and maintain high standards of quality and customer value.
- Experience with video is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge in Ad technologies is a plus.
