Summary/Overview:

KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency) is seeking an engaged and proactive Software Engineer to work on our internal Ratings - Data applications and services. We are looking for someone who loves solving difficult problems, digs deeply to understand the domain in which they're working, and is able to create high quality Service Contracts and maintainable Data Structures.

 About the Job

  • Modernize and improve upon our internal Ratings Workflow system across departments in our organization.
  • Update and maintain existing projects/libraries to ensure they remain consistent with our standards. 
  • Become part of a team of two (2) developers who work closely with our project management team and internal users.
  • Use your knowledge of software engineering architecture patterns to improve our web-based applications.
  • Help us evolve our “State of the System” and deliver new features.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Modernize and improve on our internal Ratings Workflow system that is used across departments in our organization.  Updating and maintaining existing projects/libraries in order to make sure they remain consistent with our standards. 
  • Our team consists of two (2) developers who work closely with our project management team and internal users.
  • Knowledge and insight of software engineering architecture patterns to improve our web-based applications.
  • Help KBRA evolve the state of the System and deliver new features.

About You

  • A developer who can turn requirements into reliable code that other people -- and your future self -- will find easy to read and modify.
  • In-depth experience in applying SOLID and Clean code principles.
  • Solid experience with PHP.
  • Strong experience with:

·         architecture patterns.

·         testing (unit).

·         Database modeling patterns.

·         modern JavaScript

·         strong analytical skills

·         experience using debugging tools.

  • Solid understanding of state management with Redux or a similar tool. 
  • Enjoy helping other developers grow and learn new technologies.
  • Able to be autonomous and self-driven.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000 to $145,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
