Spok is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience in C++, C#, and JavaScript, who can lead the CCS (Care Connect Suite) team on both design and development of features for an altering solution.
Spok Messenger is an enterprise event processing and workflow messaging platform that integrates with best in the class third-party systems, consolidating event management architectures, diminishing alarm fatigue, and enabling alarms to be directed immediately to the appropriate staff at the right time and on their preferred device.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with design and implementation of new features and existing applications.
- Able to recognize existing design patterns and develop new features with the same patterns.
- Participate in design and development architecture of new features.
- Analyze existing solutions to highlight areas for improvements.
- Work with product owner to ensure that requirements and acceptance criteria are adequately defined for all development work items and meet team's standard.
- Assist Product Owner with decision making around management of and maintaining project and work backlog; able to re-prioritize tasks as the business deems appropriate
- Participate in and influence conversations during team ceremonies; backlog refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Deliver quality products by applying patterns, best practices, industry standards, and writing solid unit tests
- Provide development support for existing applications deployed in the field
- Assist the team to define test scenarios of features
- Assist the team with technical documentation of installation and configuration guides
- Assist the team to troubleshoot and quickly resolve critical production issues
- Display ability to continuously improve by: Participate and/or lead in-house learning and training sessions and explore and share ideas for improving automation practices, team effectiveness, and products.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 4 years' experience or Master's degree in Computer Science and 2 years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. BS in Computer Science preferred.
