Partner with the best

In this highly visible Senior Software Engineer role, you'll help revolutionize the customer experience for Akamai's Identity and Access Management solution. You'll be collaborating across teams to build self-service infrastructure for our 'Control Center'. You'll lead the development and implementation of globally available, resilient, and highly secure services.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing web-based application backends for Akamai's internal and external customers utilizing Java based components and tools
• Providing technical leadership as part of code reviews, design reviews and the mentoring of junior team members
• Administering easy and intuitive access to complex test result data to ensure performance and quality for customers
• Contributing to enhanced production support and effective resolution of complex issues impacting groups of systems
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to develop new tools and features while solving technical problem

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Demonstrate extensive experience with the full software development life cycle including code reviews, release management and support
• Show experience developing software in Java, Scala, Go or other similar programming language
• Have experience with web application development, design patterns and frameworks such as REST API, Spring, etc
• Have experience with and knowledge of databases, ideally Oracle RDBMS and Apache Cassandra
• Have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, particularly in advanced SQL, while being a team player

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $113,430 - $170,043/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
