Position Overview

You will be part of a dynamic team at Autodesk in Pune, India. We are looking for engineers who love finding efficient, scalable, and thoughtful solutions to a variety of technical and product challenges. As a Senior Software QA for Automation, you will work to deliver top-quality web and cloud software. You will report to the manager, and we will support a hybrid work mode. You will work from the Pune base location.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Scrum team to perform manual end-to-end testing on time and at a high quality that conforms to user story acceptance criteria

• Be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and debugging developed features

• Be responsible for front-end and back-end E2E automation of features developed within the Scrum team

• Define QA strategy for the team and establish release management practices for the Scrum team

• Collaborate with product design and product management to understand requirements and translate them into test plans for functional and regression testing

• Be passionate about writing assertions that match business acceptance criteria, understanding the testing pyramid, maintaining automation stability, and addressing flakiness

• Guide automation coverage in the Scrum team and establish good tools and practices to achieve this

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline from a reputed engineering college

• 5 to 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test

• Hands-on experience with any front-end automation framework, such as Cypress, Protractor, or Selenium

• Hands-on experience in programming languages like JavaScript, Java, or Python

• Hands-on experience with any back-end REST API automation framework, such as Rest Assured or Karate

• Hands-on experience with popular BDD methodologies like Cucumber or JBehave

• Hands-on experience with various tools for performance testing of REST APIs, such as JMeter

• Experience with Jira, Jenkins, and GIT

• Some domain experience in data management cloud service(s).

• Solid hands-on experience with testing backend, mobile, and web applications

• Experience working with scalable, high-quality cloud services

• Solid familiarity with Agile development processes and QA methodologies

• Preferred: exposure to other automation frameworks like Robot Framework or Puppeteer

• Preferred: experience with quick scripting in Postman to test REST APIs

• Preferred: exposure to CI tools like Jenkins

• Preferred: experience testing cloud infrastructure based on AWS
