Yahoo Ads builds solutions for leading advertisers, agencies, publishers, and app developers. We are looking to expand our Ads SDK team with engineers that value collaboration, strong communication skills, and have a strong desire to create quality products. The primary focus of this team is building SDKs which publishers (mobile app developers) use to show ads and creating new ad experiences which enable compelling advertising on our mobile advertising platform. We build some of the server side components that are used in the ad request flow. We also create mobile applications and tooling to support our internal teams in building advanced mobile ads.
The Yahoo Ads SDK is essentially "shrink-wrapped software" meaning that once deployed we can't get it back or force our developers or their end users to upgrade to a new SDK. Given that, we are highly focused on quality in all aspects of our development.
In a typical day, you will find yourself:

• Working in a CI/CD environment developing, debugging, deploying, and maintaining our build system built on top of Screwdriver to orchestrate builds for Android, iOS, and Server based projects using Ruby.
• Crafting scripts and tools for the automation of infrastructure and services.
• Safeguarding services and infrastructure by performing security-related projects and tasks.
• Managing our git organization including repository lifecycle management, security, and developer support.
• Managing our artifact repositories on Artifactory and CocoaPods
• Designing, developing, debugging, and deploying of RESTful Node, Java, and PHP based services.
• Orchestrating the design and deployment of products on AWS using features such as EC2 Auto Scaling Groups, ECS Clusters, and Elastic Load Balancers.
• Researching and implementing solutions for fault tolerance, performance, capacity, and maintainability.
• Manage secrets and authentication using services such as Athenz, CKMS, and LastPass.
• Working with Product and Engineering to build and distribute our public documentation using a Jekyll based system.
• Work with development and QA to diagnose build issues

Required Technical Skills and Experience:
We are looking for people that have demonstrated proficiency in at least one major technology, but most importantly we're looking for people who've demonstrated that they can adapt to new technologies and have a passion for it.

• 4+ years of experience
• Development experience in server and mobile development a plus
• Clear understanding of Semantic Versioning as used in Android, iOS, Ruby, Java, and Javascript based applications and using that knowledge to help deploy projects
• Development experience on NodeJS using Express 4.X and npm
• Apache HTTP and Nginx configuration and deployment
• Screwdriver or Jenkins experience for server and mobile projects
• Working knowledge of Artifactory, CocoaPods, and Maven
• Shell scripting in sh, bash, and zsh
• Experience using Jekyll, Jazzy/SourceKitten and Dokka to generate end user documentation for deployment in AWS is a plus
• Experience in the Ruby ecosystem including rvm, Rubygems, bundler, and ruby
• Experience deploying applications in AWS
• Development experience on Java Web Services usingJAX-RS Jersey 2.X, Java 1.8, and Java 11, and Tomcat

The compensation for this position ranges from $117,000.00 - $243,125.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
