The purpose of this role is to implement the category sourcing strategy for Transient and Group Travel or Meetings, and Events & Congress in line with the over-arching sourcing strategy to constantly increase productivity, optimize the external global spend, and reduce costs. The incumbent will develop local strategy for these categories and maintain a close relationship with key corporate and regional partners.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Implements complex Category Strategy and develops it for our decentralized model. This includes complex and/or high spend negotiation and partnering with the business leaders.
- Identifies, evaluates and classifies sourcing risks, devises risk mitigation measures and manages risk exposure.
- Identifies and evaluates existing and potential local suppliers as well as the establishment and maintenance of supplier relations.
- Introduces innovation from external marketplace.
- Uses Business Review Meeting and KPI leverage to resolve potential issues at an early stage.
- Provide feedback and reporting to the Category Manager and Business Partners as needed.
- Manages local Business Partners actively and collaborates to align on common goals.
- Coordinates Business Partner sourcing needs and ensures that relevant information is shared.
- Optimizes buying channels and leverages market opportunities.
- Leverages sourcing tools (including e- or reverse-auction, parallel negotiation etc).
- Maximizes usage of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or Frame Services Agreements (FSAs) as possible.
- Potentially leads and drives Regional Sourcing projects potentially.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required in Business Administration, Pharmaceuticals or related. Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Major focus: Business Administration or Pharmaceuticals.
- Four to seven (4-7) years of sourcing experience in category(ies) management.

Eligibility Requirements :
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
