Senior SQL Database Administrator

MetroStar is looking for a Senior SQL Database Administrator that is passionate about supporting enterprise-wide database administration for mission critical operations. As a Senior SharePoint Developer, you will be a member of the integrated project team supporting the customer’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). In collaboration with your teammates and the customer, you will work to provide application upgrades, maintenance and administration including installation and configuration of databases. You will love our company if (this stuff is the MUST have to be a fit):

• You have 3-5 years of experience providing database architecture guidance and configuring/monitoring SQL database clusters
• You have experience designing, developing, and supporting database solutions in a Microsoft SQL environment
• You have a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator or equivalent certification
• You have experience working with customer stakeholders to identify database requirements, goals, and objectives
• You have experience recommending best practices to improve automation frameworks and processes
• You have experience providing troubleshooting and technical support to ensure customer technologies adhere to project and system requirements

We will REALLY love you if (this is the BONUS stuff that will make you stand out):

• You have experience developing and maintaining technical documentation for processes and procedures for applications, databases, and systems
• You have experience using Jira for requirements management
• You have experience with supporting federal government clients
• You have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience

What your day will look like:

• You will participate in daily scrum meetings in support of agile development efforts
• You will work your cross-functional team to design, develop, and implement customer requirements
• You will maintain and modify database structures in support of CIO operations
