The Product Organization has grown rapidly, which has created a brand new opportunity for  Product / UX Operations Lead to combine and scale our Design Operations and Product Operations into one. This role lives under the Product Strategy & Operations team, reporting to our Sr Director of Product / UX Operations.
At BILL, the Product / UX Operations Lead will enable the Product & Design team to do their best work by defining, implementing, and managing the top-level processes required to efficiently deliver high-bar solutions across our product portfolio. You will be the liaison between the design team, product team and the rest of the organization while evangelizing strategic design & product, efficient processes, and clear communication and planning with Engineering stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of product and design processes, is an effective and respectful communicator, is skilled at building systems amid ambiguity, and is energized by operational efficiencies.Â
- On Design Operations, you will be:Â
- Partnering and providing support to Product Design & Content Design Team
- Helping create, communicate, and governance of product design process including reviews and approvals
- Developing a cadence of events to build a strong Design Community in Design and help Designers grow (Design Sprints, Design Critiques, PXPresents)
- Evangelizing content standards
- Quarterly auditing of design standards ensuring consistency (i.e implementing ways to measure the quality and consistency of Design)
- Across all of Operations: Specifically Design, Content and ProductÂ
- Contributing and aligning with design and product in the PDLC
- Advocating for Ops discipline within the organization internally and externally by hosting or speaking at town halls and conferences
- Contributing to Product / Design Ops practices with new working models, best techniques, playbooks, and training materials supporting change management initiatives.
- Measuring, and assessing team health to maintain a productive organization
- Partnering with Recruiting, and onboarding best practices to help the team growÂ
- Communicating with design leadership and designers, product managers and developers
- Continually identifying and driving process improvements and share best practices, creating and enabling visibility across Product project portfolio (includes Design, Research, Content and Product) & implementing a capacity planning framework
- Partnering closely with counterpart operations professionals to evolve our operating models and continually raise the bar for our practice.
- Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team and other leaders to spearhead the ongoing development and improvement of design operational workflows, refining roadmap planning and developing a comprehensive operating plan with both immediate and long-term goals and milestones.
We’d love to chat if you have:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- At least right (8) years of experience in the product design field, agency or in-house, and/or design operations
- Familiarity with the role of product design within a cross-functional product organization
- Familiarity with design process, quarterly and annual planning and the management of product design organizations
- Ability to own, drive and facilitate operations-related initiatives and programs
- Collaborative by nature, adept at problem solving, outcomes driven, you see the strategic and tactical view of things
