Senior Staff Software Engineer

Purpose of the role

Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop platform features in a cloud native environment
• Collaborate closely with global engineering teams
• Undertake all phases of development including requirements definition, design, coding and testing
• Support debugging and issue resolution for customer escalations 

Required skills and experience

• Previous telecommunication software experience 
• Proven skills developing software for high-availability deployment 
• Proven software development experience
• Proven experience in cloud native application design
• Proficiency with Kubernetes in production using Docker containers
• Solid background with continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD)
• Experience with monitoring and observability in cloud environment
• Strong Python scripting experience
• Solid expertise developing with Linux, preferably Red Hat
• BS or MS Computer Science or related subject area
