The Opportunity

This position works out of our Sylmar, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.

We are seeking a high caliber Supply Chain Analyst who will coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.

What You'll Work On

• Responsible for identifying improvements in the logistic processes, such as calculating adequate levels of stock, defining optimal transportation routes, etc.
• Work with Manufacturing to ensure supply plan and schedule optimizes manufacturing productivity
• Activities may include analysis, planning and forecasting in the areas of production, materials handling, purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation and distribution.
• Analyze potential impact of forecast and production schedule changes on procurement and production volume. Ensure consistency between product sales and production schedule.
• Communicate all product availability risk and liaise with relevant departments to ensure product is available to the customers.
• Communicate supply related issues to management and impacted areas
• Create, communicate and track weekly schedules including non-commercial builds and builds for custom orders
• Define optimum inventory levels
• Develop, maintain and control a master production schedule by balancing customers' requirements with manufacturing capacity
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in Planning and Scheduling processes
• Maintain accuracy of Planning information in MRP system
• Partners with purchasing and warehousing to minimize and dispose of slow moving, obsolete, and expiring inventory.
• Review and update Planning and Scheduling SOPs to ensure accuracy
• Safeguard the environment and facilitate a safe and healthy workplace culture
• Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
• Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Education

Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) Business or Supply Chain Operations OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Experience/Background Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing schedule planning

Minimum 3 years of experience with planning/work order systems and working in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred.
