We are looking to hire a Senior Sustainability Finance Manager to join our team. This role is highly focuse d on achieving these sustainability commitments by driving and partnering on Microsoft's carbon & water fees, accountability, and sustainability related procurement .

The Senio r Sustainability Finance Manager will partner with several stakeholders including Environmental Sustainability, business groups & their finance partners , Corporate Accounting, Tax, and Treasury as well as external advisors and companies .

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration , Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration , Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent analytical , Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI , and financial modeling skills are key for success in this role
  • Ability to manage numerous models, scorecards, and transaction s end-to-end while managing through ambiguity
  • Experience working as a business group finance partner
  • Demonstrated ability to create clarity, collaborate, be inclusive , and be a curious learner
  • Ability to simplify complex information and highly effective written and oral communication skills for all audience levels
  • Compliance and ethics demonstrated in every action
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the carbon and w ater fee s and implementation across Microsoft
  • Develop and cascad e sustainability targets and scorecards across business groups to support Microsoft's sustainability and impact investment initiatives
  • Drive company-wide emissions forecasting process through partnership with business groups and Environmental Sustainability
  • Partner with Environmental Sustainability team on carbon removal and reduction procurement using the proceeds from the sustainability fees
  • Project manage and w ork across functions , organizations , and external parties to ensure alignment and coordination for smooth and efficient processes
  • R epresent team in meetings with key internal and external partners as well as customers
  • Own d evelop ment and reporting for initiatives and preparation of executive level and external presentation materials
  • Perform market analysis & research and d evelop deep understanding of key market drivers
