Senior System Administrator

Duties

This person will be responsible for the provisioning, configuration, operation and maintenance of Linux systems and software.

• Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, applications are maintained in accordance to established policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in research and development of innovative solutions to improve the existing infrastructure.
• Assist team with technical issues and troubleshooting of systems and software.
• Participate in an 24x7 on-call rotation as needed.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience
• Proficient working with RedHat and/or CentOS Linux distributions
• Deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting and installing java, java applications, JBOSS, Apache, Nginx, HA Proxy, Tomcat
• Using and configuring management and monitoring tools (Ansible/Puppet/Nagios)
• Leading projects involving cross-functional teams
• Evaluating and recommending solutions to existing and new system architectures
• Practicing agile development and Devops methodologies
• Experience with Ansible, Teraform, Rundeck, Kabana, Elasticsearch (E.L.K.) and other DevOps tools
• Provisioning, deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting of microservices/containers
• Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, GoLang
• Development and integration of automation, monitoring and orchestration tools
• Working with hypervisors such as VMWare a plus
• Experience working with Public Clouds (AWS) and build tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, CircleCI) a plus
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise java-based applications such as SAP, CA Gateway, Documentum, xPression a plus
• Fundamental knowledge of IP Networks and basic networking skills
