Could VillageMD’s next Senior Tableau Administrator be you? 

As a Senior Tableau Administrator within Enterprise Technology, you will be a contributor and team lead within the Enterprise Applications group, responsible for building and scaling technology platforms supporting our enterprise and clinical users.  You will be accountable for the administration, support, and scaling of our Tableau environments that service clinical reporting as well as enterprise operational reporting.  Additionally, this role will facilitate KPI reporting from the IT organization, build visualizations and other reporting instrumental to operational oversight for the Enterprise Tech teams, as well as provide technology guidance to the analytics team, finance team, and any other internal user group.

We are looking to recruit an individual who will be accountable for the high-quality and successful delivery of all Tableau solutions.  You will work cross-functionally with members of Village Medical’s business teams, as well as collaborate across the various departments within the IT organization.  You should be familiar with a variety of skills inclusive of data warehousing, ETL development, performance tuning, solution architecture, and be familiar with or have the desire to learn other BI reporting technologies such as Power BI and QuickSight to name a few.

• Performs daily systems administration, monitoring, and system maintenance on Tableau and associated product suite applications in Test, Development and Production environments in Amazon cloud environments
• Performs software installations, upgrades, patch installs on Tableau and associated product suite applications
• Serves as the go-to SME who diagnoses and troubleshoots problems related to Tableau and associated product suite applications and assists others with OS, network, and related software troubleshooting
• Ensures that performance and security of virtual servers meet the needs of network users
• Troubleshoots and configures servers in a virtual environment
• Assists end users on the proper use of hardware and software
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• Conducts basic hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
• Documents work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, and brief staff and customers on various tasks

• Expertise within the following Tableau administration tasks and requests:
• Develop scripts for Tableau Server Installations
• Adding additional Nodes on Tableau Server
• Utilization of Row Level Security in reporting frameworks
• Adding additional nodes on Tableau Server
• Run cleanup and create database backups
• Perform performance tuning for Tableau server
• Develop Tableau Server backup Automation
• Tableau System Upgrades

• A meticulous attention to detail; the ability to build and earn trust

Experience to drive scale and customer experience

• 5+ yrs. relevant experience in Tableau administration
• 5+ yrs. relevant experience in dashboard/report development
• 5+ yrs. of experience with data warehousing, analytics, and business intelligence solutions
• Experience in a customer–facing role, including comprehending business needs, solving complex
• problems, and capturing business requirements to convert them into technical requirements
• Experience with Agile delivery programs
• Must be able to work quickly with a high degree of accuracy with cross-functional teams
• Excellent documentations skills and ability to produce detailed system documentation
• Additional qualifications:
• Experience with Power BI (Administration / Development)
• Experience with Tableau migrations (on premise to AWS / Azure / etc.)
• Windows/Linux operating system or computing environment certification/training

For Colorado Residents only: The base compensation range for this role is $85,000 to $115,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role may be eligible for annual/quarterly bonus incentives (if applicable), and the selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan with company match.
