Senior TPM - Operational Reporting

Microsoft's Global Demand Center (GDC) is the leading go to market effort for our commercial Cloud businesses (Apps & Infra, Data & AI, Modern Workplace, Business Apps), generating millions of leads and impacting $ billions of revenue a year. Marketing Platform & Ops organization is at the core of GDC's state-of-the-art marketing technology, ensuring efficient setup of automated personalized customer journey, continuous flow of leads along nurture streams and further to sales, their progressive profiling, as well as application of smart algorithms to rationalize and optimize all these processes for better business outcomes. Operational AI team plays a key role in GDC's marketing platform operations. It's responsible for the generation of intelligent AI-driven signals and their end-to-end flow from marketing to sales, supporting all GDC's key connected Marketing & Sales motions. The AI models, processes and capabilities that the team develops, deploys and operates have direct impact of hundreds of $ millions of incremental revenue.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager in Operational AI team, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining our portfolio of Operational Reports, covering the flow of customer data, generation and delivery of intelligent actionable signals from Global Demand Center to various Sales teams. In this critical high impact role, your Operational Reports will provide visibility into these processes, helping multiple operational and engineering teams validate if their systems are working as intended, and if they are not, enable quick investigation and mitigation by illuminating the exact problematic areas. As our lead management capabilities evolve further, expanding to new signal sources and sales channels, this role has a lot of room to grow and expand in the future.Responsibilities• Define overall strategy and approach to covering all the signal flow processes by operational reporting, holistically managing the evolving portfolio of operational reports.
• In partnership with Data Engineering organizations develop backend data flow architecture and data models for operational reporting.
• Determine standard visualizations in Power BI for the operational reports fulfilling the needs of primary reports users (Signal Flow Operations) and in compliance with Microsoft's usability and accessibility standards.
• Create requirements for process & systems telemetry for any new components of our signal flow platform, ensuring we have the right level of visibility in our operational reports that we'll use to monitor these new signal flows.
• Collaborate with GDC and Engineering architects to include operational reporting capability in all of our signal flow solution designs.
• Ensure alignment with GDC Analytics team on the key signal flow metrics that are used in both operational and analytical reporting.
• Manage a team of vendor analysts developing and maintaining various operational reports.
• Based on business priorities and available analyst capacity, build a delivery plan and keep it up to date in accordance with evolving priorities and incoming high-priority requests.
• Closely track execution of the ongoing operational reporting projects, remove blockers, manage issues & risks, have mitigation plans and own communications on project status, issue management, and resolution.
• Develop and implement testing, user acceptance and monitoring plans for each component of operational reporting, ensure high-quality releases.
• Keep operational reporting documentation up to date.QualificationsQualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
• OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
• OR equivalent experience.
• 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Data Platform and Power BI
• Expert domain knowledge of Marketing Automation and Digital Sales and their reporting funnels.
• Experience working with agile software engineering and/or data science teams.
• Experience writing technical requirements, managing timelines and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong communicator: ability to explain complex technological and data science concepts to business stakeholders to get their buy-in on the proposed solutions.
• A quick learner: ability to develop a deep understanding of organization-wide systems & processes, develop business requirements, create clarity, and synthesize complex issues into near-term and long-term action plans.
• A self-starter, strong project management and organizational skills. Attention to details, operational excellence.
• Great collaborator across teams - ability to motivate and drive people of various disciplines towards a common goal.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced environments while communicating clearly and directly with stakeholders at all levels.
